Top Rated Adviser Guide: Niche advisers named in The Times

The 2023 VouchedFor Top Rated Financial Adviser Guide was published in The Times earlier this month, with four of Niche’s financial planners once again included.

Joining Commercial Director and Chartered Financial Planner, Aled Phillips on the list – who himself has been listed for the fifth consecutive year – are Independent Financial Advisers, Ed Peach and James Baker, along with Ryan Caisley, who joined the Niche team in late 2022.

The guide, which was published in The Times on Saturday 18th March, showcases the UK’s top advisers who have received outstanding feedback over the last 12 months. Feedback is provided exclusively by clients and addresses areas such as service, value and advice given.

Qualifying as a top-rated financial adviser is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work and service provided by the entire team here at Niche. Here’s a closer look at some leading reviews left for each of the four listed individuals:

Aled Phillips – Commercial Director & Chartered Financial Planner

“Aled is first class. I don’t hesitate to recommend him to my clients. I deal with high-end catastrophic injury clients and his people skills are second to none. He takes all of the cloak and daggers stuff out of financial advice, and I love his ‘no nonsense’, clear approach. Aled is my personal financial adviser, but I recommend him to many of my clients, especially those needing long-term investment for life.”

Ed Peach – Independent Financial Adviser

“We have regular appraisals to ensure there are no major changes to my life goals. I feel able to discuss any worries regarding income by just picking up the phone or messaging to arrange a call back from Ed at a time that suits us both.

I had in the past thought I would attempt to do my investments myself but, in the event, I found it a constant worry. I probably shouldn’t have attempted something so complex thinking I might save money; in fact, I did the opposite as there as so many hidden costs. The pandemic made financial concerns even more of a concern, so I am particularly pleased I made my decision prior to this terrible unforeseen event.”

James Baker – Independent Financial Adviser

“I had a complex set of retirement circumstances which really needed specialist advice. James Baker has a friendly, clear approach to explaining all the options. James uses the tools at his disposal really well and is completely happy to show other alternatives to make choices clearer.”

Ryan Caisley – Independent Financial Adviser

“Ryan’s knowledge is fantastic. He really took the time to get to know us and our situation and how best he could help. He clearly knows what he’s doing and is very customer centric in his approach. We’ve spoken with many advisers and it’s clear his approach is different to everyone else.”
